There are several color combinations available in English Springer Spaniels.

The most basic are white and liver, white and black, liver and white and black and white.

Then there are black and white tri and liver and white tri.

 This means the dogs will have tan eyebrows, jawlines and feet.

Then there are roans this is considered a marking and not a color. This feature can come on any of the above and indicates a blending in the white fur with their primary colors of liver, tan and black.

Lemon is the rarest color and that is essential a reddish brown color  and white.

Ticking is just another word for doggy freckles.
