    — -- For the first time since "Making a Murderer" was released last December, Steven Avery is set to appear in a TV interview with "Dr. Phil."

    Avery, who is still in jail for the murder of Teresa Halbach, will be interviewed by phone.

    His fiancee, Lynn Hartman, will be present on the show.

    In a preview clip shared by "Dr. Phil," Hartman talks about the couple's love and how she believes he's truly innocent. Host Phil McGraw doesn't hold back, asking her tough questions about their relationship and if she's concerned for her safety around him.

    Avery recently acquired a new legal team led by Kathleen Zellner, whose has experience representing wrongfully-convicted clients.

    Last month she filed a request for more forensic testing into the case. Avery's team of lawyers is also requesting new DNA testing on evidence that had not been previously screened. The legal team plans to use any new evidence in a future post-conviction petition
